Decided

A sudden need for change erupted inside of me today. I looked towards 5 years down the road and I visioned what I want to be.

Not here.

And thus I made up my mind. To take a step forward.

I'm taking another step tomorrow....

...Till I reach it...

Random Feelings

I have been told where to go next. And I don't like it. I feel that I have been short changed.

Feel like leaving the organisation...

Random thoughts

Its Friday already

Time flies so fast...

What did I do during the week?

I don't know.

It's not significant

I wasted time.

Time is wasted...

Energy is wasted...

Shouldn't have eaten so much if I did nothing...

How can I answer to starving kids out there in other countries?

Good thing is I don't need to.

They might even not understand what I'm talking about....

Maybe they dun understand English...

I'm sure they don't understand Chinese....

And I can't speak SMtdmOFCmyYVCJ....

-_-""

I wasted toilet paper...

I pulled too much out of the roll...

when I was wiping my a**...

Indirectly I killed trees...

Maybe not...

Maybe the tree was already dead when the woodcutter when there...

Died of old age?

Died of boredom?

Maybe died because of some tree diease...

-_-""

Is my toilet paper safe?

I got wet...

... because of the rain outside....

Rain usually dampens someone's spirits doesn't it? For me? I am not affected by it. In fact, rain on Tuesdays and Fridays are OK. Cos that means I dun have to run. =P

Investment?

I read it somewhere that Investing in education is a sure-win investment.

After spending $80 on 2 books about web-site designing and use of Dreamweaver, I started to think if buying books were investing in Education.

Anyway, my gf wanted those books, as she says she is interested...

LETS SEE WHO FINISHES READING THEM FIRST!

Its so hard to get a cab when you are late.

It's true. Have you ever work up, first thing you know that you are late. You think back and blamed yourself for you shouldn't have watched the mid-night show, played that extra game of mahjong, had a second round of sex. Now you are late. The boss will scold you, you might lose your job. There will not be breakfast etc.

You get ready in 10 mins. You go down. You stand at where you usually stand. And wait....

30 mins pass... there are cabs around but none were empty(of cos drivers not included).

There is only 1 logical explanation to your miseries:

There are many more people who woke up late... and you are suay.

----

OK. It happened to me. Not because I did any of the above reasons I mentioned of cos. I was playing Maplestory and trying to reach my targets. So I didn't blame myself for it.

Anyway, instinctively, I stood at the place I normally got my cabs from right after I readied myself. I waited, and waited, for a whole 30 mins before I gave up.

Then I realised I was at a "losing end".

I was flagging the stupid cab at the stupid end of the stupid long stretch of road and like every stupid 2 mins there will be stupid inconsiderate people who stupidily came after you came, stupidily standing 50 metres before you, stupidily flagging the cab you are flagging, and getting it. Up he/she goes into the cab, drives pass you and gives you the "sorry I'm late" expression.

=_=¡

next time I'll wait opposite... where I'm at the start of the road. =)

Maplestory Targets

"Set a target and stick to it."

This was what I told myself during the start of my grueling Maplestory sessions. =/

My target was to get to 3rd job (level 70 and do a job change) by Friday. Yes, my deadline is tomorrow. I had been on the right track at the start of the week and I tell myself that if I follow this pace I'll be able to reach my target.

So why am I complaining?

I realised that leveling my character is not exactly fun at all, when I have a target to meet. It sort of takes the magic out of the game. Maplestory was fun for me at one point of time where I was lost in the game but level up unknowingly.

Consciously, I have been pressured by my own deadline and my body's fatigue to be able to enjoy the game.

But why are targets important?

Knowing what you want and how to get there, does not neccessary get you there! Adding a timeline to it instills discipline. However, there is some danger involved. Realistic targets help you achieve what you want, while unrealistic targets give a negative psychological effect.

To cut the long story short, know what you want, how to get it, and set realistic targets to ensure you have a higher chance of achieving it.

If I didn't set a target and have a workplan. I'd still be level 66 today. Not being able to enjoy the fruits of labour and sense of achievement I'd have by TODAY. =)

By tomorrow, I am sure I'll enjoy Maplestory more.

Late nights take a toll on me

Have you ever worked/played/studied through the night?

I have been doing these recently. But unlike the ability for tolerance to these gruelling session I have in my younger days, my body seems to be rejecting the lifestyle now.

Just like a old car that takes much more time to start on cold days (actually quoted this but dunno whether it's true or not).... I seem to stone alot during mornings of little rest. Sometimes I wake up late or can't even wake up!

OMG... am I getting that old already?

Desserts

My Friend Elton is running a shop selling desserts under a HDB Blk somewhere near Yishun Central. We gave our support yesterday.

We would say that he has captured a strategic location for his little business. Although only been there once, Peter is excited and rallying us to go there once again today.

"I want to see Elton's friend... the once with the white spaghetti strap T-shirt" -_-""

Next time, if I ever would have a desserts shop of my own, My waitresses will all wear bikini.

They will also practice suggestive selling. "Any whip cream for you Sir?", licking their lips....

Something about BLOGS

Well, this just came to me.

Large Blogs, esp those with alot of pictures, load SLOWLY.

My blog, loads fast because it has less pictures... or rather, it doesn't have pictures...

Walah...

Now comes the hard part, How do I show you, my precious readers pictures I want to show you? hmm... I'll figure it out slowly.

Cheers.

Another day of working late

This is bad...

I hate this...

This is the feeling that came over me at 1600 hrs today. My colleague just tam-baed stuff on me (Tam-ba - I think it means hammer... notice I bothered to add a ed behind it for pass tense)

Anyway, these few days of free time, only to have things thrown to me at last minute. I guess this is what my organisation is about. Sigh...

Well, back to work. If not I do not know when I can finish. LoL...

Great Story Telling

Everyone has their stories to tell...

But some do it better than others.

Why?

Experience...

Think about someone who has talked about his story many many many times before. He knows where the punchlines are, how listeners would respond, how best to capture the listener, best words to describe his tale.

Compare it with someone who was asked to provide a statement.

I ... uh... was doing this huh... then that happened loh... duno leh... like this... but, also maybe like this leh... how it happened? hmmm...not sure loh... should be because...eh... dunno lah ... dun ask me!~

See the point?

Branch Outing

We have an unofficial branch outing yesterday...

Its a branch outing because all but 3 guys from your branch turn out for this outing. For some once in a lifetime special reasons 3 individuals decided to treat. So for the rest of us, dinner was FREE.

But as a consumer of the restaurant we went to (non paying also count as consumer lah), I would say that the price they paid (I was not part of the paying group), was not worth it.

For the price of $25.80 nett, one would expect better stuff... instead, the food served on the buffet spread was cheap.

This was what they served:
Salmon slice (the only item worth it, if I devour maybe half the fish =)
Teriyaki Chicken- Cooked (the queue was long and only limited servings were dished out at intervals of 30 mins)
Cold soba (cheap food)
Sliced beef- uncooked (no way am I cooking it in my soup. For a beef lover like me, I took none of that beef because I could not cook it properly)
3 inch sausages
fish balls
sotong balls (2 colours)
crab meat (artificial)
some stuff for noodles we pay for 20 cents a piece in hawker centres
pastries (can easily get $2 a piece for better quality ones from a pastry shop)
ice cream - cheap (do not expect hagen daz or Swensens)
ice kachang mix - cheap
Assorted fruits - cheap kind

-_-|||

There you have it... Singapore's Joaquim Steamboat restaurant at Suntec Convention Centre. I'll rather order KFC next time.

I got my time settings wrong

Sorry people who actually believe I blog at 5 am in the morning.

I got my time settings wrong.

Changed it to Singapore time already. hope everything goes well.
